远洋鱼
为辐鳍鱼纲鲈形目鲭亚目鲭科刺鲅属下的唯一种，分布于全球三大洋热带及亚热带海域，本鱼嘴大、强壮，呈三角形，具扁长形而细锯齿状齿，吻大约与头部一样长，鳃耙不存在，有泳鳔，身体覆盖着小鳞片，背部是彩虹般蓝绿色; 侧边银色的有在侧线之下延伸到的24-30个深蓝色蓝色的纵带，背鳍硬棘23-27枚;背鳍软条12-16枚;臀鳍软条12-14枚;脊椎骨62-64个，体长可达250公分，为大洋性鱼类，在表层水域成小群活动，属肉食性，以鱼类、头足类为食，可做为食用鱼及游钓鱼。
